TheKaki police on Wednesday arrested the prime accused of sensational Jagiroadrape incident. The arrested accused has been identified as Khalilur Rahman.

Acting on a tip-off, Khalilur was arrested from his residence in the Kaki area on Wednesday evening. Later, he was handed over to Jagiroad police.

The sensational incident took place on 25th October in front of the Nowgong Paper Mill in Jagiroad, where Khalilur along with the handyman of a Traveller identified as Ramjan Ali raped the girl when she was returning from Salna area.

Earlier, the Jagiroad police have arrested Ramjan, butKhalilur was absconding since the incident.
