Road accident claims 7 lives in Demow

At least seven people were killed while several others sustained injuries after a bus and traveller collided on the National Highway 37 in Demow on Monday morning.

The passengers died on the spot when the overspeeding traveller rammed into the bus. The injured were admitted to the closest hospital for treatment.

The locals have been assisting the police and local administration in the rescue operation.

Police said there were many passengers on the vehicles when the accident occurred and there is a possibility that some could still be trapped inside.
