Rupjyoti Kurmi bashes Sonowal, Himanta

Mariani Member of Legislative Asembly (MLA) Rupjyoti Kurmi lashed out at Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday at a  Panchayat Election campaign in Chapar in Dhubri. Kurmi reached Chapar after Chief Minister Sonowal campaigned for the Bharatiya Janata Party for the second phase of Panchayat elections here.

Kurmi bashed Sonowal and compared him with Bollywood's mega villain Amrish Puri and Himanta with Shakti Kapoor.

Kurmi alleged that Sonowal  has not opposed the Citizenship (Amnedment) Bill 2016  for his  greed of being the CM of Assam .

He also alleged Himanta Biswa Sarma failed fulfilling the commitments made to the people of Assam prior to the elections.

The second phase of the election will be held in 9428 polling stations out of which 3081 are sensitive 3081 and 1666 are very sensitive A total of 35,056 candidates are in the fray of the elections on December 9.

Polling started at 7 a.m. and will end at 3.30 p.m.
