‘Sankalp Sikha Yatra’ to start from Sunday in protest against Citizenship Bill

Led by Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS), 70 ethnic organisations will start 'Sankalp Sikha Yatra' from four different locations of the State on November 11 (Sunday) to protest against the proposed Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.

The members of KMSS, AJYCP and other ethnic organisations will begin the 'Sankalp Sikha Yatra' bike-rally from Sadiya, Dhubri, Diphu and Jonai on Sunday and will reach Guwahati on November 16.

Akhil Gogoi, the KMSS leader said, "Participants of 'Sankalp Sikha Yatra' will protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill in front of Janata Bhawan in Dispur on the same day."

Gogoi also informed that they will demand the Assam government to clear its stand on the Bill on November 16 or the participants will protest in front of Janata Bhawan till their last breath.
