Sankaradeva Sangha boycotts family for running piggery

Ifyou want to open a broiler farm or a piggery, to earn a dignified livelihoodand be a successful entrepreneur, make sure that you are not a SrimantaSankaradeva Sangha member.

Surprise?Do not be. If you are a Srimanta Sankaradeva Sangha member and if you want toopen broiler and piggery farm, there is every possibility that Sangha mayostracize you from the society for doing these two "non-dignified" jobs.

Ashocking such incident has come into the light in Biswanath Chariali, where asmall entrepreneur was outcast from the society. The Afrakhat unit of the Srimanta SankaradevaSangha banned the family of Balendra Nath from attending any kind of socialfunctions for running a broiler farm and a piggery business at their home inGhahigaon area under Biswanath district.

As per a notification of the Afrakhat unit of the Sangha, a decision was taken by the Madhya Chaiduar Anchalik Branch to bar the members of the Sangha, who runs broiler farm or a piggery in their houses.

Meanwhile, the decision of the Srimanta Sankaradeva Sangha received widespread criticisms on social media platforms.
