Sanskritik Mahasabha awards Jayanta Baruah with ‘Sangbad Surjya’

The socio-cultural organization, Sanskritik Mahasabha Assam has bestowed Jayanta Baruah, proprietor of 'Sadin-Pratidin group', with 'Sangbad Surjya' Award. In a State Title and Award Giving Ceremony held in Press Club, Guwahati, the Mahasabha awarded the title today.

Meghalaya's former Governor Ranjit Shekhar Mushahary graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Along with Baruah, the Mahasabha also presented sprinter Hima Das with 'Swarna Kanya' Award, 'Gitratna' to renowned singer Mahendra Hazarika, comedian Sidhartha Sarma (famously known for his role as KK) with 'Rasaratna' award, Zublee Baruah with 'Sangeet Kuwori', Bipin Chaudang with 'Sangit Saurav' and Neel Akash with 'Sangit Kunwar' award.

Dainik Janambhumi Editor Utpal Baruah, Assam Government Cultural Department Director, Barnali Sarma were also present among others at the award giving ceremony.
