Sarania to form new political party

KokrajharLok Sabha MP Naba Kumar Sarania on Tuesday said that he will launch a newpolitical party in October. The MP said that a larger number of Bodo peoplewill be joining his party. He said that ahead of forming the political party,he will form a non-political organisation, called BTAD Army in September.

Addressingthe media on Tuesday after the attack on his convoy in Pathsala last evening,MP Sarania said, "I will form a new organisation, to be called the BTAD Army inSeptember. It won't be armed organisation, however, it would possess thecapabilities to prevent any unwanted attack." He added, "The attack on myconvoy at Pathsala was pre-planned. As I have been continuously voicing againstthe prevailing corruptions in BTAD, they have targeted me."

Saraniafurther said that Bodo people have expressed their willingness to join hispolitical party. "We will contest in all the 40 seats in the coming BTCelections and I am confident that we will win as many as 35 seats. BPF will befinished," said Sarania.
