Chief Minister  of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal has announced an award of Rs 1.60 crore award to sprinter Hima Das.

'Dhing Express' Hima  won three medals including a gold and two silvers in the recently concluded Asian Games 2018 held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Hima will be arriving in India on Tuesday. The Assam Government will organized a grand function on September 7 at the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, Guwahati to acknowledge Das for her success.

Hima hails from Kandhulimari village in Dhing in Nagaon.
