Sarbananda Sonowal Reviews Four-lane Works in Sonitpur

Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal reviewed the four-lane works of National Highways on his visit to Sonitpur district today. The CM has reviewed the work with NHIDCL and PWD officials.

Sonowal expressed dissatisfaction over theslow progress of four-lane works of National Highways in the district whiletaking the review. The Chief Minister urged GM of NHIDCL to take necessarymeasures to expedite construction works and initiate action against allnon-performing contractors at the earliest. He also urged the GM to takenecessary steps for carrying out maintenance works on the roads till thefour-lane work is over.

The CM also instructed the Executive Engineer, PWD (NH), Nagaon Division to expedite the construction works on the NH from Tezpur to Kaliabor and take up necessary repairing on the stretch from Mission Chariali to Jamuguri.

The CM also take stock of the Tezpur Airportand after reviewing the air connectivity he said that he would discuss withauthorities concerned to take appropriate steps to increase the number ofregular flights to and fro from Tezpur and improve the air travel facilitiesfor the people.
