In a sensational incident, a senior citizen has beenbrutally thrashed by the driver and handyman of a passenger vehicle in Nowboichaarea under Lakhimpur district on Thursday.

According to reports, a heated argument broke outbetween the manager of the Traveller vehicle and the senior passenger over the fare.Following the argument, the handyman and the driver threw the senior citizenout of the Traveller vehicle and assaulted him. The handyman even attacked him withan iron rod over the National Highway.

Later, the locals recovered the man and rushed him toa nearby hospital. The locals also caught the handyman and handed him to the Nowboichapolice. He has been identified as Papumoni.
