Seven AAMSU workers arrested in Golaghat

Seven All Assam Minority Students' Union (AAMSU) workers have been arrested for allegedly demanding money from a quarry in Madhupur Golaghat.

Golaghat District AAMSU President Kadir Ali and General Secretary Essad Hussain along with five others have been arrested by the Uriamghat Police.

The other five arrested AAMSU workers are Saidur Rahman, Altav Hussain, Imran Hussain, Yasin Ali and Musfik Ali.

The AAMSU workers demanded a sum of Rs 50000 on 26th Sept after which the manager of the quarry filed a complaint against the AAMSU workers at Uriamghat Police station.

On the other hand AAMSU have alleged that the manager planned an attack over the AAMSU workers through NSCN cadres.
