SI Paper Leak: Former DIG’s Residence, Hotels Raided

CID raided the residence and two of his hotels of former DIG of Assam PK Dutta last night in connection with his alleged role in the leakage of the question paper of the SI examination that was slated for September 20.

Dutta's Hengerabari residence and his four hotels including the ones located in Betkuchi and Lokhra –Hotel Bhargav Grand and Hotel Bhargav – were raided by the CID sleuths.

However, as learnt, Dutta couldn't be detained as he, along with his family, fled the spot ahead of the raids.

Dutta has been accused of illegally collecting around 10-15 lakhs of money from each candidate.

The raids, aimed at discovering the collected money and other information, would continue today as well.
