Sitharaman inaugurates strategic bridge in Arunachal Pradesh

On Friday, Minister of Defence Nirmala Sitharaman inaugurates 'Diffo Bridge' (Chipu) at Roing; which connects Lower Dibang Valley District and Lohit district of Arunachal Pradesh.

The bridge is 426 meters in length. The construction work of the bridge had started in 2011.

Dedicating the bridge to the nation, Sitharaman praised the commendable work being done by Project Udayak Border Roads Organisation.

Appreciating the Border Roads for good quality roads and speedy completion of projects, Sitharaman also said that apart from strategic point of view the bridge will be a boon for the people residing in the distant border villages.
