In a tragic incident, an accident took place at 37 no National Highway as a vehicle fell into a river after the railing of the Gamon Bridge collapsed at Sivasagar.

Theaccident took place on Monday morning. However, locals witnessed oil bubblingfrom the accident area where the vehicle has fallen.

Meanwhile, the traffic police reached the spot after the accident but they denied any vehicle falling into the river.

Moreover, Sivasagar police recovered an i20 car bearing registration number AS 04 J 5535 and said that the car had a head-on collision with a bus after which it fell into the river.
