Sonowal, Gadkari discuss NH development

CM Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday called on Union Road Transport & Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi and held discussions on infra & connectivity projects of the state.

During the meeting, CM asked Gadkari to expeditiously startwork on the series of bridges over the Brahmaputra, including Jorhat- Majuliand Gohpur-Numaligarh.

The matter of re-opening the toll gates in Assam was also a part of the discussion. Sonowal was accompanied by Minister of State in the Union Ministry of Food Processing Industries Rameshwar Teli.

Teli drew the attention of the Union minister forexpeditious completion of four-laning works and proper maintenance of theexisting stretches of the National highways in the state.
