Floods triggered by heavy rains have created a devastating situation in the South Salmara-Mankachar district of Assam.

 62 villages have inundated as the river levels continued to rise.

Around, two lakh people have been severely affected.

In parallel, massive mudslides and landslides have occurred as well.
