Two student leaders were attacked by a group of miscreants in Pachagaon, Abhayapuri on Tuesday night. The miscreants attacked with some weapons including machete and sticks.
The victims were identified as Nitumoni Ray and Jyotish Barman. Nitumoni Ray is the district secretary of Hindu Yuva Satro Parishad and Jyotish Barman is the secretary of Panchagaon Council. Both of them were severely injured and taken to hospital.
One accused of the incident has been arrested and is identified as Azibar Rahman.
