Sudden flood in Bokakhat spreads panic

Diphlu River which flows from Karbi Anglong has created havoc at Lotabari in Bokakhat.

Water have been flowing above the National Highway 37 and has disconnected Upper-Assam from Lower-Assam.

To prevent further risks, administration is controlling traffic on the Highway and also the electricity supply in Bokakhat has been stopped keeping in mind the complexity of the situation.

In the same way, communication of Sapjuri to Diphlu connecting road has been disconnected.

The rain water flowing from Karbi hills swipe away a portion of the road along with the culvert.

Communication to 10 villages has also been disconnected.

Several government offices have been affected by the sudden intense floods.
