Suspected ULFA (I) Cadre Detained in Lumding

In a joint operation between Hojai police and Government Railway Police (GRP), a suspected ULFA (I) cadre has been apprehended at Lumding Railway Station on Thursday.

The apprehended ULFA cadre has been identified as Manabjyoti Kalita,son of Dhiren Kalita of Kaki Bahampur.

The Hojai administration has started an investigation after the flag ofULFA was hoisted at Kanistha College at Kaki in Lanka.

The search operation was launched under the leadership of HojaiSuperintendent of Police Ankur Jain and apprehended the suspected ULFA (I)cadre from the Up Rangia-Dibrugarh express train.

Police also suspected that Manab Kalita was also involved in the flaghoisting of ULFA at Kaki.
