Tea Board Introduces ‘Chai Sahyog’ App

'Chai Sahyog' an app with an objective of integrating thesmall tea growers will enable small tea growers to upload quantity and pricedetails of their teas, even as minimum benchmark price will be uploaded everymonth.

The App has been developed by Tea Board of India with anobjective of bringing about traceability of green leaf, besides circulatingadvisories, including weather forecast. It will also help in quality control aswell.

The app will also facilitate trade of green leaf and helpgrowers follow the activities of the Tea Board officials.  There will be provisions for uploadinginformation related to training, notifications, awareness programmes, etc.

The Tea Board has already generated 45,000 QR codes forsmall growers in the Northeast and has set a target for generating the balanceQR codes for enumerated small tea growers by August 31.
