Police on Sunday arrested three illegal Bangladeshi citizens in Silchar's Hailakandi district after a tip off about their originality and whereabouts.

The three have been identified as Hafeez Mullah, Aayar Ali and Bablu Mullah.

The three illegal citizens, who are residents of Bhulpariya in Bangladesh's Gopalganj district, entered the country on a tourist visa and settled down in Hailakandi.

The three Bangladeshi citizens were living in a rented house of a former school inspector of Hailakandi.
