Three quakes jolt Northeast

Three major earthquakes jolt entire Northeast on Friday afternoon.

As per reports stated by the Indian Meteorological Department, the first earthquake measuring 5.6 Richter scale rattles Northeast. The epicentre of the quake is East Kameng, Arunachal Pradesh.

As per sources, the epicentre of the quake was reported to be 10 km away from the region of East Kameng District in Arunachal Pradesh.

The second earthquake measuring 3.8 magnitudes occurred at around 3:04 pm with Latitude:27.4 N & Longitude: 92.9 E.

The third earthquake measuring 4.9 magnitudes on the Richter scale occurred at around 3:21 pm. Latitude: 27.9 N & Longitude: 93.3 E, Depth: 95 Km, the epicentre was reported to be 95 kilometres away from Kurung Kumey District in Arunachal Pradesh.

According to reports, the tremors were felt in Guwahati and others parts of Assam and Northeast at about 02:53 pm. No casualties have been reported so far.
