Torch rally by Cottonian opposing CAB

Thousands of students on Saturday evening took out a massive torchlight rally against the contentious Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) throughout the Panbazar area in Guwahati.

The protest led by Cotton University Students' Union (CUSU) witnessed the participation of students from various colleges and institutes of Guwahati.

The students sharplyopposed CAB and shouted various slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi,CM Sarbananda Sonowal and the BJP government.

"The bill will destroy theidentity of the indigenous people of the State," said a protesting student.
