Tripura: Patal Kanya Jamatiya to move Court Against CAB

Theleader of Tripura People Front, Patal Kanya Jamatiya will move to court againstthe contentious Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB).

The leader of TPF said that CAB will destroy the indigenous people of the state. She further stated that the Prime Minister should establish the foreigners in Gujarat.

Shefurther demanded that before implementing CAB, the government should bring NRCfirst in the state.

However,the state of Tripura has also observed the 11-hour bandh called by NESO againstthe contentious bill and the Tripura education department has cancelled all theexaminations scheduled on Tuesday.

Meanwhile,the Northeast Frontier Railway has also cancelled six trains and partiallycancelled four other trains due to the bandh.

Examinations were postponed on Monday in several schools across the state due to bandh called by the IPFT and other regional parties in protest against the CAB.

TheCitizenship Amendment Bill (CAB), 2019 was passed in the Lok Sabha in theintervening night of Monday and Tuesday amid protests.
