Two arrested in Pengeri murder

The PengeriPolice on Wednesday arrested two persons in connection with the sensationalmurder of a 15-year-old in Khatangpani Tea garden under Tinsukia district on Sunday.

The arrestedwere identified as Biral Urang (40) and Dharam Singh Urang (35), who are theresidents of Khatangpani Tea garden.

The policehave identified all the three accused involved in the incident. The thirdaccused, identified as Jagat Gogoi, committed suicide on Monday. "Today wearrested two persons involved in the murder of a teenager," said a policeofficer.

It maybe mentioned here that the victim, a teenager, identified as Ranjeet Gowala,was brutally murdered by the trio following a salary-related argument. Gowala wasfirst hit by one of the accused and then stabbed to death.

Meanwhile, a top police officer of Pengeri PS informed that the arrested duo has been booked under section 302 of the IPC.
