An incident of two children missing from Guwahati's Basisthahas sparked panic in the area. According to reports, the children were livingwith their family as tenants in the same premises in Ganesh Nagar.

The missing children are Eight year old Dhrubajyoti Bayan,son of Kushal and Gitanjali Bayan; and 11 year old Riya Dutta, daughter ofBubul and Rita Dutta.

It may be noted that the children are missing since the afternoonof July 08.

The families of both the missing children finding nowhereabouts after inquiring their relatives, have filed an FIR at the BasisthaPolice Station.

It has been feared that there are high chances of thechildren falling prey to human trafficking syndicates.

The families have urged the people that if anyone has any knowledgeabout the missing children to inform it to the Basistha Police.
