Two escape from City police custody

In a massive blow to Assam police, two accused escaped from police custody of two different police stations in Guwahati. The accused have managed to escape from the custody of Jalukbari PS and Bharalu police on Monday.

Identified as Indreswar Rabha, the accused in the Jalukbari PS has managed to escape from the police station with handcuffs in his hand. Earlier, locals have handed him over to police in an alleged robbery case.

On the other hand, an accused identified as Saddam Hussain, escaped from police custody after his medical examination was done at the MMCH after his arrest.

Cases have been registered against the accused, informed a top official of City police. "Necessary department action against the police personnel who had the accused in their custody will be taken," informed the official.
