On Monday a ULFA (I) cadre had arrested during a joint operation carried out by Assam Rifles and Arunachal Police at Changlang district on Monday.

As per reports, the ULFA (I) cadre has been identified as Rupantar Axom alias Dawar Axom, resident of the Malvug Paupani region in Tinsukia district.

Reportedly, he joined ULFA in 2016. Moreover, police recovered an MQ81 rifle, 2 nos of the magazine along with 49 rounds of live bullets from the ULFA cadre. It has been said that he has involvement with many other murders, kidnapping, and extortions around the North East.
