ULFA Threatens To Attack on I-Day: Deepak Kumar

GuwahatiPolice Commissioner Deepak Kumar on Thursday inspected the Khanapara ParadeGround as the Independence Day is round the corner and preparation is going onfull swing. The Commissioner said that the ULFA threatens to attack on theI-Day and therefore security will be tightened so that no untoward incidentcould take place.

DeepakKumar, while speaking to media said that there will be nine CCTV cameras in theground and they will install more cameras if required. He said that 3 levels ofsecurity have been arranged at Khanapara as the ULFA threatened to attack onthe Independence Day.

Kumarfurther informed that tight security has been arranged as many areas inGuwahati have been identified as vulnerable.

Kumaralso speaks about the Rukminigaon incident where a girl has been attacked bysome miscreants on Wednesday. He said that the incident has come to light andthat police have apprehended Sunit Goswami, the lover of Devina.

Thepolice commissioner informed that Devina was attacked with some hammer likearms.

Talkingabout the Kritika-Karabi suicide case of Bhangagarh, the Commissioner said thatthe lover of Karabi, Rhituporno Das has been arrested. He also informed thatKarabi was suffering from physical and mental torture.

Kumaralso informed that police have arrested two persons from Bihar in relation tothe dance troupe of Assam who was rescued from Bihar. The dance troupe who wastaken to Bihar for dance performance was forced to dance in Bhojpuri songs. Thearrested youths are Raju Parel and Sabita Barely. The Bihar police have lodgedsuo moto cases against the youths and arrested them.
