Northeast has already proved to be the sports hub of the Nation. The managements of famous Indian football club, United Punjab FC have reached Guwahati to chase the talented youths of the northeastern States.

The football club has organised a football mega trial at Nehru Stadium in Guwahati on Sunday, which saw massive participation of young footballers from the eight northeast States.

United Punjab FC will provide scholarships to the top young footballers worth Rs. 1.5 crore, informed a member of United Punjab FC. "We will provide Rs. 3 lakh each to top 50 players under this programme," said the member.
