Vast Area Of Mayong Inundates By Late Floods

Although the annual flood of Assam has not been as devastating as it was last year, on Monday, a vast area under Mayong Revenue Circle in Morigaon district has been inundated by the late floods of Brahmaputra.

Huge fields and sub-rivers, water bodies of Pakaria Mouza, Mayong and Manha Mouza under Mayong Revenue Circle have already been submerged.

It have become difficult to communicate with traffic as the areas of the river have become waterlogged.

Locals of the areas are continuing to use boats for travel purposes.

Fields like Ashighar, Lesaribari, Balimukh, Murkota, Patekivari, Chidha Guri, Burgaon, Shildubi, etc. have been overflowing.
