Verdict on 30th Oct Bomb Blast Case Today

The CBI's special is expected to pronounce its judgement today in the case related to the 30th October  2008 Serial Bomb blast  which claimed 88 lives.

After 10 years of hearings, the judgment will be made against the National Democratic Front of Boroland  (NDFB) chief Ranjan Daimari and fifteen others accused under  section 120(B), 121, 122, 123 and 302 of the IPC.

The statements of at least 650 witnesses have been recorded by the court and studied some 687 exhibits or documentary evidence in connection to the state. A per reports,  it took almost nine years to record the statements of 70-odd witnesses, statements of others were recorded within the last couple of months.

It is to be mentioned that the blast claimed lives of 88 innocent people and injured 580 people in a series of bomb blasts allegedly carried out by the Ranjan Daimary- led National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB) militants in Guwahati, Kokrajhar, Bongaigaon and Barpeta on October 30, 2008.
