The polling for the first phase of General Election is underway across the nation; candidates of Tezpur Lok Sabha seat- Congress' MGVK Bhanu and BJP's candidate Pallab Lochan Das were seen sharing a rare moment with each other. Both the candidates on Thursday morning visited Mahabhairav Temple in Tezpur town to offer their prayers.

Keeping aside the war of words, both the candidates shook their hands at the temple and extend wishes to each other.

A total of 14,94,878 voters including 7,31,248 female voters and 31 of the third gender will exercise their franchise in 1,880 polling stations in Tezpur.
