Wild Elephant Found Dead In Karbi Anglong, Poisoning Suspected

A carcass of a wild elephant was recovered in west Karbi Anglong's Cheng-Cheng Bil on Tuesday.

It is suspected that the elephant may have died after consuming poisonous food.

Forest officials arrived at the spot soon after conducted post-mortem examination on the carcass.

For the past few days, a herd of elephants has been roaming the area in search of food, sources said.
