Wild Elephant kills youth in Udalguri

A youth from Badlapara Tea Estate area in Udalguri districtwas trampled to death by a wild elephant on Sunday. The incident occurred whenthe youth, Bimal Tapna, went to drive away the elephants roaming in the area.

According to reports, Bimal died on the spot after a wild elephant attacked him. Locals said that the herd of elephants also destroyed a wall of a mud house.

Meanwhile, the residents from Badlapara TE alleged that the locality often faced terror of wild elephants.
