In a sensational incident, a lady was brutally murdered by a man at Hatikhira Tea Estate in Karimganj. The lady who was murdered with an axe has been identified as Biru Pasi, said to be the mother-in-law of his brother.

Followingthe incident, police arrested the accused Lakhiram Pasi. Pasi's sister-in-lawwas also injured in the incident.

According toreports, the incident took place for some family issues.

Lakhiram Pasi is now under police custody and police have started an investigation on the incident.
