Woman detained for pro-ULFA remarks

TheSivasagar police on Tuesday detained a woman for making remarks in favour ofbanned United Liberation Front of Assam-Independent (ULFA-I) on social media.

As per reports, the woman made several pro-ULFA remarks on social networking site Facebook. Also, she was in touch with one Gyandeep Gogoi, who was arrested by the Sivasagar police on June 26, for his alleged links with the ULFA.

It maybe mentioned here that the woman is a member of Youth Congress and has beenworking as an apprentice trainee at the ONGC. Police is currently interrogatingher.
