In a tragic incident, an aged woman named Champa Das was found dead hanging from the ceiling at Kamakhya Nursery inside her house .

The locals alleged that the daughter-in-law of the old woman is behind the death.

"They always used to fight over money and property. The daughter-in-law would always torture her and to avoid detection, she might have hanged Champa's body from the ceiling," locals said.

"Champa would have never taken this step. We are sure that the daughter-in-law has killed her over a fight," added another local.

However, denying the allegations, the daughter in law alleged the deceased women attempted suicide before too.

The police sent the body  for post-mortem and have started probe into the matter.
