Incidents of someone or the other falling prey to rumour mongering is making rounds on a daily basis. In another such horrific incident, a woman had been attacked in suspicion of being a child abductor.

The incident had taken place at Kathonibari in Dhekiajuli on the night of Friday.

Allegedly, the woman had been beaten up after being tied on to an electric post.

Receiving reports of the incident, Thelamara police reach the spot to rescue the woman from the mob.
