The Forest department has seized a wood laden truck at the Sunpura region in Tinsukia on Wednesday.

Reportedly, the Forest department carried out the operation on a tip-off and seized a wood laden truck (AS 01 GC 9629) from the residence of Bikram Burhagohain.

It has been come to know that, by getting information regarding the operation of the forest department; somehow the wood smuggler fled another wood laden truck from his home. But the forest department is still carrying out the search operation for truck.

Moreover, Dilip Deka, the Director of the Forest department in Dumduma carried out another operation in search of smuggling woods but didn't get succeed. But he strictly ordered the department to seize such illegal smuggling business from Sadia, Dumduma, Soikhua, Kakapathr along with Digboi as soon as it is possible.
