Assam Finance Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed the news of his kidney stone and his ongoing treatment, all his colleagues, friends, and well-wishers from the political spectrum and other fields poured in their prayers for the ailing minister.

Dr. Sarma today said that he is being treated for his kidney stone and is working in a controlled environment.

Sarma's well-wishers took to Twitter, just as he did to announce his ailment, to wish him a speedy recovery and good health. One of them was Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, who had recently wished him good health.
