3 KNF-N Militants Held For Murder Of Four Civilians In Manipur

Three militants of Kuki National Front (Nehlun), who were involved in the alleged murder of four civilians, were arrested by troopers of Assam Rifles and West Police Commando.

One 9mm pistol and .32 pistol were also recovered along with magazines.

The arrested militants were identified as Seiloulun Singsit (20), Henminlun Misao alias Kevin (29) and Hentinseh Singsit (30).

As per reports, they confessed their involvement in the murder of the civilians which was done under the command of self-styled KNF Chairman, James Kipgen and Vice-Chairman Mangsat Haokip.

They also confessed to being involved in extortion, kidnapping and other crimes.

Police are currently on the hunt to nab other KNF-N militants who were involved in the alleged murder.

The incident dates back to October 12 where four villagers, including an 8-year-old, were killed and other two were left injured by militants who opened fire on a group of people attending a condolence service at the B Gamnom village in the Kangpokpi district of Manipur.
