Amarnath pilgrim injured by ‘shooting stone’

In a sensational incident, an Amarnath pilgrim sustained serious injuries on Tuesday when a large rock hit the taxi he was travelling in. The incident took place in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district.

Meanwhile,injured was has been hospitalized immediately after the incident. "The yatrihas been shifted to hospital for treatment," police said.

As per the reports, the taxi was hit after the rock rolled down from a hilltop. It may be mentioned here that, stones rolling down the steep mountainside in Ramsoo-Ramban are called 'shooting stones' as they hit the highway with high velocity.

AmarnathYatra started on July 1 and will end on August 15.
