Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal wastoday slapped by a man during election campaigning in Moti Nagar area as he wasstanding on an open jeep.

 Theman jumped up and attacked him but before he could launch a full attck, he wasstopped by the AAP supporters. The AAP has blamed the BJP for the attack.

The attacker was identified as Suresh, 33and he was rescued by the police from AAP workers who thrashed him. The man,who is a spare parts dealer, has been detained and is being questioned by thepolice.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia hasattacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah over theassault.

"Do Modi and Amit Shah want Kejriwalto be murdered? In the five year, they couldn't break his resolve, couldn'tdefeat him in the elections, now you want to eliminate him, you cowards! ThisKejriwal is your end," Manish Sisodia tweeted in Hindi.

The AAP has alleged that it was an"opposition sponsored attack".
