Aryan Khan To Be Released Tomorrow, Paperwork Miss Deadline

Pratidin Bureau

Aryan Khan, who was granted bail yesterday in the drugs on cruise case, will spend another night in jail as the paperwork for his release missed the deadline. The deadline for the jailer at Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail was 5:30 pm.

A senior jail official said that his release papers did not reach them in time, as quoted by PTI. He said, "We won't give special treatment for anyone. The law is the same for all. The deadline for receiving the bail papers was 5.30 pm. That has passed. He won't be released today".

Actor Juhi Chawla had signed the ₹1 lakh bail bond for Aryan's release. The papers were necessary to be signed by a special anti-drugs court to sign his release. Aryan has already spent 22 days in jail.

Aryan's lawyers rushed to the jail, where they had to deposit the papers in a box which opens twice every day- 10.30 am and 5.30 pm.

The court, listing 14 conditions for his bail, said that Aryan Khan cannot leave Mumbai without informing the police and has to appear before the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) every Friday.

Aryan Khan has to reportedly appear before the NCB at their office every Friday between 11 am and 2 pm, along with attending court hearings and has to join investigations whenever required. Apart from these, he cannot leave the country without permission, involve in similar acts, cannot talk to the media and also cannot communicate with other accused in the case.

The NCB can request cancellation of his bail if any of the conditions is violated, said the court.
