At least 11 Killed As Boat Capsizes in Bhopal

At least 11 people died after a boat has been capsized on Friday morning during the Ganesh Visarjan ceremony at Bhopal. There were 16 people in the boat when it was capsized.

According to a report, 16 people were in the boat, and so far, 11 bodies have been recovered, and five people have been rescued, said Additional Superintendent of Police Akhil Patel to ANI.

Patel said that the incident occurred sometime at around 4:30am and at least 40 police personnel are present at the spot. A State DisasterResponse Fund (SDRF) team was also present at the spot.
