B S Yeddyurappa swear-in as Chief Minister of Karnataka

BJP leader BS Yeddyurappa has sworn in as the 24th Chief Minister of Karnataka on Thursday. Governor Vaju Bhai Vala had administered the oath of office in Bengaluru.

Senior BJP leaders Ananth Kumar, Prakash Javdekar, Dharmendra Pradhan, J P Nadda and all the newly elected MLAs of BJP were also present on the occasion.

Addressing media after assuming office, Yeddyurappa said MLAs who respect people's mandate will vote for him during the floor test and said he seeks conscience vote of all the members of the Assembly.

BJP President Amit Shah congratulates Yeddyurappa through twitter saying that this is the victory of every Kannadiga who voted to uproot the corrupt and divisive politics of Congress. He expressed confidence that the new government under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will fulfill the aspirations of the people.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore also extended his greetings to Yeddyurappa saying, the state will tread on a new path of development, growth, progress and prosperity under the leadership of the new Chief Minister.
