'Global Asian of the Year 2018-19' award was bestowed on Hema Divakar- a Bengaluru-based physician- for he humanitarian works and contributions to the society; especially towards women's healthcare eco-system in India.

The award was bestowed on Divakar at a function held in Dubai recently.

Dr Divakar received the award at the Asian Business & Social Forum 2019 under the 'In Service of the Society and the Nation' category from UAE's Trade Promotion Director Mohammed Naser Hamdan Al Zaabi.
