BJP won’t get more than 125 seats in LS polls: Mamata

Pratidin Bureau

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday claimed that BJP won't cross the 125-mark in the 543-member Lok Sabha and won't get a single seat in Bengal.

Addressing a rally in Visakhapatnam along with TDP president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, the TMC chief said, "In 2014, Modi got 21 out of 119 seats in Andhra, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal that was his best time."

She also urged other political parties of NDA not to support Narendra Modi. "BJP has sister organisations, I would like to request them that if you love the country, please don't support Narendra Modi and Amit Shah," Mamata said.

Speaking to the gathering, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal alleged that an emergency-like situation is prevailing in the country. He also slammed Modi government over demonetization.
