After tabling the Economic Survey 2018-19 in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is all set to present the General Budget 2019-20 in the Parliament today.

It is noteworthy that this budget is Sitharaman's maiden Budget.

The Finance Minister has already left for the Rashtrapati Bhawan to take President's approval following which the Budget will be presented at 11 AM in the Rajya Sabha.

This is the second Annual Financial Statement during the Modi Government's tenure. The statement which gives details about the revenue and expenditure of the Centre in the past and estimated spending and projections for the coming year, has kept the people eagerly waiting for what this government has in store for them.
